Palo Santo sticks are a type of incense wood that has been used as a talisman and to purify the air. The scent is released by the smoke when the incense is burned and then extinguished. This is my first purchase. I left it in the entrance hall or in my room as it was, but it didn't give off much of a scent. When I lit it, it did give off a scent. My impression: When it had been lit and the smoke had all gone out, it smelled nice after a while.
