It's cowhide, but it smells like pigskin, which I don't like. I'll have to rely on the air purifier to do its job. Also, because it's a self-assembly sofa, there's a gap at the back, and I think dust will accumulate there. The height from the floor is higher than the previous one, and I think it would fit better if it was a little lower, but is that inevitable because of the reclining function? This is the first time I've bought a Nitori product, and my impression of the sofa is that it's good value for money.
