I was watching a TV program featuring Nitori, and they were showing a cutting board that doubles as a plate. That got me thinking, so I went to Nitori and bought one. I often make decorated whole cakes, and I was worried about the cake getting scratched if I used a plate. The black color makes the cake look good. It's also useful for cutting bread, kimpo (Korean-style braided hair), makizushi (sushi made rolled in nori seaweed) and other foods at the dinner table. It's a product that seems like it should exist, but doesn't. I'm so happy!

I use it to cut vegetables, fruit and bread for breakfast, and then I use it as my plate! It's the perfect size and very versatile!

It's stylish, dishwasher-safe, hygienic, and doesn't leave any marks from the knife!

It's easier to use than I thought, and so far I've found it hard to notice any scratches, so I like it. The surface is rough, so I think that even if it does get scratched, the scratches won't be very noticeable.
